Pastor Rocky has been in full-time ministry for 13 years. The first two years he served as youth pastor at the Live Oak Church of God where he learned the basics of ministry.
From there God opened the door for him to serve at University Church in Tampa for 7 years. This time would prove to be rewarding as God would open the door for Rocky to excel in areas that had never been tapped in to.
With growing experience as a youth pastor, worship leader, and an associate pastor, God then led him to Newberry, FL to replant a church there. Today that church is Destiny Community Church. DCC has grown from 15 to over 200 in just three and a half years.
Together with his wife Mandi and their twins Caleb and Kendal, they are amazed at God’s faithfulness and direction.
Pastor Rocky is an ordained bishop with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN). He has served on the Florida Youth Leaders Association Board as president, vice-president, and secretary. He currently serves on the Florida State Youth and Christian Education Board and as chairman of the Florida Media Committee for the Church of God in Florida.

Andrew graduated from RHEMA Bible Training Center in 2000 with his certificate in Pastoral Ministries.
Upon graduation, God opened the door for him to serve as an intern at Abundant Life Ministries in Largo, Florida. That internship turned into a part time position and in 2003, Andrew became a full time Student Ministries Pastor.
He served in that position until 2005 when he joined forces with More2Life, a federally-funded abstinence education program that brings the message of Purity into the classrooms of Pinellas County.
Andrew and his wife, deAnna, are passionate about reaching students in the Newberry area and are excited about being a part of what God is doing at Destiny!
Andrew currently serves as the secretary/treasurer for the Florida Youth Leaders Association Board. A peer elected board that is the brain thrust behind many of the youth events sponsored by the Church of God State Office.
deAnna Petruch

deAnna graduated Cum Laude with an A.A. in Humanities and Fine Arts from St. Petersburg College. During her studies, God opened many doors for her to work with fine arts teams in worship leading, drama and dance, and in kids ministries and student ministries programs.
She also studied music and fine arts for 6 months at Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney, Australia. While there, God opened the door for her to lead a kids team for 3-5 age children as well as working with Jr. High School students.
Upon her return from Australia, she continued working with student ministries as well as leading worship for youth and kids church. She also worked for More2Life and Great2Wait delivering the message of abstinence until marriage to students all over Florida.
deAnna not only serves as our children’s ministries director but she is also a vital part of the music ministry at DCC. She is a member of the sanctuary praise team and leads worship for AXIS Student Ministries.
She is very excited to be at DCC and can’t wait to see what else God has in store!
Michael Addis

Michael was a student in Pastor Rocky's first youth ministry. He was a faithful right hand to that ministry. It was visible then that Michael would someday be actively involved on a church staff. Today he continues to serve as our facilities manager.
Michael and his wife Deanna, relocated to Newberry to be a part of DCC. They have been involved since our inaugural service in September 2006.
